Create an OpenID Federation in Reference Data

Create an OpenID Federation Trust Anchor in Raidiam Connect by adding a federation record in Reference Data. This how-to covers only the federation creation step.

Prerequisites

• You must be a Super User to create federations in Reference Data.

Create the federation in reference data

1. Log in to the platform.

2. Select Reference Data > Federations > New Federation.

3. Enter the federation details.

   Description	No	Description of the federation scope and purpose
   Organization Name	Yes	Name of the organization administering the federation
   Contacts	No	Contacts for ecosystem participants
   Logo URI	Yes	Logo URI for the federation or administering organization
   Policy URI	No	URI for federation policy or terms
   Homepage URI	Yes	URI for the federation homepage
   Remote Trust Anchor	No	URI of a superior Trust Anchor; added to authority_hints in this federation's self-issued Entity Statement

4. Select Save.

After saving, the federation is created and its Trust Anchor endpoints become available.

1. Add a domain in Reference Data and associate it with the federation.

2. Add federation-type roles to the domain.

3. Add intermediate trust anchors.

4. Map authorities to domains.

5. Onboard organizations.
